On page 112 we are told:

The Talmud, deriving the word from לֶפֶת, turnip, translates 'His skin hardened like a turnip' [from fright] (Sanhedrin 19b).

This is incorrect. In fact, the Talmud there quotes Abba Arikha as explaining שנעשה בשרו כראשי לפתות - the reference is to בשרו - his flesh, a standard euphemism for male genitalia, and not עורו, skin. The sage is thus interpreting וילפת as 'he became aroused' and not 'his skin hardened.'
